CFO Recruit is working with a New York based client to engage a Fractional CFO for an initial month engagement. Our client is preparing to go through a listing process which has been led by the CEO to date. The CFO must have had experience of working with clients and supporting them through the process of going public. There will be an on going requirement for support for one week per quarter following the process. The CFO will provide guidance to ensure that reporting and compliance meets the requirements for a listed business. The CFO will be engaged to support with the following:

• Ensure that robust budgets and financial forecasts are in place.
• Review and implement improved internal controls as required to ensure accuracy and enhance systems/process where required for accounting, reporting, and compliance.
• Engage with third party partners to ensure that the legal structure is optimized for the listing process.
• Ensure that financial statements are fully audit ready and review financial statements for accuracy.
• Develop detailed financial forecasts, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. These should project future growth, margins, and capital needs.
• Establish a robust budgeting process that aligns with the company’s strategic goals and market expectations.
• Prepare and file the necessary paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
• Collaborate with external partners such as investment banks and legal counsel.

Qualifications

• Experienced CFO with a track record providing consulting services to clients.
• Ability to make an impact quickly.
• Experience in an IPO process is required.
• Understanding of reporting and compliance requirements for public companies.
• Excellent attention to detail.

The rate advertized for this role is a guideline, the rate offered will be commensurate with experience.
