CFO Recruit is partnering with a mid size, service business to appoint a Director of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and contribute to the growth strategy and partner the leadership team in scaling the business.  The role would suit a Director of Finance or a Senior Controller or Head of Finance with the right skillset and capabilities to be Director of Finance. The Finance Director will operate as a collaborative business partner overseeing the financial operations and management of the business and leading the finance function to ensure growth objectives are met. The Director of Finance will have the following skills and experience:

• Overseeing all aspects of the finance department ensuring the financial health of the business.
• Monitoring, analyzing and evaluating the financial performance of the company presenting monthly reporting to the leadership team to enable informed, strategic decision making. 
• Presentation of monthly reporting to the leadership team with variance analysis and recommendations for corrective measures.
• Managing and ensuring compliance with tax filings across different geographies.
• Managing relationships with accountants across different geographies and managing inter-company accounting.
• Partnering with the CEO to formulate the annual budget, monthly forecast and long term financial planning. Supporting strategic financial planning, including the development of models and systems for forecasting.
• Leading the recruitment, hiring, and professional development of all finance team members. Coaching, mentoring and developing.
• Ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time, supporting payroll, reimbursements, commissions, and bonuses.
• Standardizing systems and processes within the finance department to improve efficiency and identify opportunities for financial and operational improvements.
• Overseeing AP and AR.
• Collaborating with sales and operations to drive business performance and efficiencies.

To be successful in this role the Director of Finance will have the following experience:

• Experienced financial leader with 10+ years of professional experience, including 8+ years in finance or accounting roles.
• Experience of leading teams and managing/mentoring staff.
• Strong knowledge of business management, system creation, and implementation.
• Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions and integrating financial operations post-acquisition.
• Proven ability to manage multiple international entities and navigate complex financial regulations across jurisdictions.
• Expertise in ERP integration and implementation to optimize financial systems and processes.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven with a knack for creating systems and processes.
• Skilled at identifying process issues and implementing improvements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to present financial insights.
• Collaborative, goal-oriented team player who values relationships.
