Fractional CFO Job, Dallas, Texas

CFO Recruit is partnering a client in Dallas to engage a Fractional CFO for 2-4 days per month. The Fractional CFO will provide financial and strategic guidance to achieve growth targets and ongoing support as the business scales. Working with the Executive team, the Chief Financial Officer will review the business and devise the strategic plan to hit targets and milestones. The role will involve financial modelling to explore different scenarios and the production of robust cashflow forecasts and 3 year plan to support fund raising activities.

The Fractional Chief Financial Officer will have the following remit:

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the Executive team and Board of Directors.
• Produce robust cashflows and a 3 year strategic plan. Develop and implement effective cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and mitigate financial risks.
• Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Develop financial models to evaluate business opportunities, assess investment options, and support strategic initiatives. Conduct scenario analysis to assess potential impacts on financial performance.
• Alongside the CEO, serve as liaison for investors and stakeholders, providing regular updates on financial performance and strategic initiatives. Support fundraising efforts and facilitate communication with potential investors.

Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with proven ability to support businesses as they scale.
• Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results and achieving financial objectives.
• Experience in the technology industry.
• Experience in M&A and fund raising.
