Our client is a privately owned business in the transportation industry. With a commitment to innovation and growth, our client has recently acquired another organization in a strategic move aimed at expanding market presence and enhancing service offerings. We are seeking an interim CFO to undertake a 3 month engagement to support the leadership team with post-acquisition integration. The CFO will lead a project to integrate systems and operations and ensuring minimal disruption.
We are seeking an experienced Interim CFO with expertise in acquisition integration. The interim CFO will play a crucial role in seamlessly integrating the financial operations of into the existing framework. The CFO will provide strategic guidance and financial acumen which will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing the value derived from this acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial integration strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and timelines.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of both entities to identify synergies, cost-saving opportunities, and potential areas of improvement.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency throughout the integration process.
- Manage cash flow projections, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources and support operational needs.
- Assess financial risks associated with the acquisition and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters related to the acquisition, communicating updates and progress to key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering collaboration and alignment towards integration goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards, addressing any issues or discrepancies proactively.
- Conduct post-integration reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of integration strategies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between teams from both entities, promoting cross-functional collaboration and sharing of best practices.
Qualifications:
- Degree educated and MBA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role, with a focus on acquisition integration within the transportation or related industry.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a track record of driving successful integration initiatives.
- Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
