CFO Recruit is partnering a high growth, regional healthcare business to appoint an experienced and dynamic Chief Financial Officer. This position is hybrid with 50% of time spent in the office and would suit a Director of Finance or CFO with experience in the healthcare industry and a track record within a small but rapidly growing organization. This role is critical to our client’s continued success and expansion and will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, guiding the financial vision of the company while ensuring sound fiscal management, compliance, and growth.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in healthcare finance and have a proven track record of leading financial operations in a high-growth environment.
The Chief Financial Officer will have the following responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the executive leadership team to define and execute the company’s growth strategy, ensuring financial objectives align with the business’s overall goals.
- Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and recommendations to support business decisions related to capital expenditures, acquisitions, and expansion.
- Lead the development of annual budgets, long-term financial plans, and monthly forecasting.
- Analyze financial performance and key metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to management.
- Identify potential financial risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation strategies.
- Oversee accounting, billing, collections, and payroll functions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, adhering to relevant healthcare accounting standards.
- Monitor cash flow, manage capital, and ensure the financial health of the company.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, particularly in healthcare finance, including reimbursement processes and payer contracts.
- Lead internal and external audits, maintaining accountability and transparency in financial records.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
- Drive capital planning, including debt and equity financing strategies to support growth initiatives.
- Lead the financial due diligence and integration for potential mergers, acquisitions, or strategic partnerships.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and IT teams to align financial objectives with overall business operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a healthcare setting.
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance executive in a fast paced, growing company, preferably within the healthcare field.
- Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement, revenue cycle management, and payer contracting.
The salary advertized for this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
