CFO Recruit is partnering with a client based in Dallas, TX to engage an Interim Chief Financial Officer on a full-time basis for up to 3 months initially. This would suit also suit a Fractional or Consulting CFO, an experienced financial leader who can step in quickly, establish command of the numbers, and partner directly with the founder on high-stakes capital decisions.
This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, founder-led family business at a pivotal moment in its growth. Our client operates at the intersection of energy infrastructure, land development, and emerging technology. We are looking for a CFO with experience in capital markets, managing large scale asset sales and excellent stakeholder management expertise as the business is considering external investment. Candidates must have experience as a CFO overseeing high value asset transactions and subsequent allocation of capital and debt restructuring post transaction.
The CFO will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage the deployment and structuring of significant cash proceeds from asset deal closings.
- Lead the evaluation and execution of outside capital as the company considers institutional financing.
- Serve as the primary financial contact for banking institutions and capital markets partners.
- Build real-time dashboards and reporting frameworks to give leadership clear, current insight into financial position.
- Assess and improve legacy finance processes and systems across the business.
- Manage corporate bitcoin wallets and bitcoin-denominated transactions and donations.
- Manage and support the existing finance team (Controller, Tax/Treasury/Risk Director, and two Accountants) through the transition period.
- Work closely and directly with a visionary founder; translate complex financial realities into options and strategic recommendations.
Experience required:
- Proven CFO or senior finance leadership experience in a deal-intensive or capital-markets-driven environment.
- Hands-on capital markets experience with experience working with institutional investors, banks, or structured debt facilities.
- Ability to manage and allocate large, irregular cash flows from major transactions.
- Background in data center, solar, utility, or energy infrastructure sectors preferred.
- Familiarity with energy markets.
- Understanding of bitcoin or digital assets, personal or professional exposure to transacting in bitcoin is beneficial.
- Strong external stakeholder and relationship management skills.
- Highly adaptable, solutions-oriented mindset and able to present options whilst navigating ambiguity; rigid thinking will not be a cultural fit.
- Comfortable operating in evolving, non-linear business environments.
