CFO Recruit is working in partnership with a leading research business based in the city of Chicago. Our client focuses on delivering cutting-edge research solutions and actionable insights. An opportunity has arisen for a CFO to join the executive team and drive financial excellence.
The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the company. Working closely with the executive leadership team, the CFO will provide financial leadership, drive operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the business objectives and support sustainable growth.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to drive financial performance and maximize shareholder value.
- Lead the development and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance and present recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
- Establish and maintain effective risk management and compliance frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Oversee the finance department, providing leadership and guidance to the team ensuring accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize business processes and drive operational excellence.
- Identify investment opportunities and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
- Optimize the allocation of financial resources to maximize returns.
- Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Communicate financial results and insights to the executive team and board of directors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial management practices and principles.
- Experience in the research industry is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
