CFO Recruit has been exclusively engaged to identify a strategic and operationally focused Chief Financial Officer for a well-established, growth-oriented manufacturing company located in San Antonio. This mid-sized organization is entering an exciting phase of expansion and transformation, and the CFO will play a pivotal leadership role in guiding financial strategy, supporting M&A activity, and driving process improvement.
This is an excellent opportunity to partner closely with the CEO and executive leadership team, offering both strategic insight and operational oversight across all areas of accounting and finance. The CFO will also act as a key liaison to external stakeholders including financial institutions, auditors, and other third parties.
The successful candidate will lead a capable team covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and compliance. Beyond maintaining financial integrity, this role requires a leader who can identify growth opportunities, mitigate risk, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s broader goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the finance team to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient reporting and accounting operations
- Oversee and refine internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and operational integrity
- Deliver and present financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making and risk management.
- Provide strategic business partnering to department heads and the executive team, offering insights that influence company direction and performance.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes, aligning financial goals with the organization’s strategy.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with auditors, lenders, and other financial partners.
- Evaluate and improve accounting systems and processes to drive efficiency and scalability, including potential automation in partnership with IT.
- Present financial reports and analysis to the Board, CEO, and other key stakeholders.
- Support and lead M&A transactions, from financial due diligence to post-acquisition integration.
- Mentor and guide the professional development of finance team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
To be successful in this role the CFO will have the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required; CPA or MBA strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in senior finance leadership roles, with proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong grasp of cost accounting and financial controls in an operational setting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading mergers and acquisitions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and modern financial systems.
The salary advertized for this role is a guideline, the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
